For those doing Hawaiian language or historical research - checkout the Hawaiian Electronic Library. Ulukau - considered the first Hawaiian e-library in the world has logged more than 1.8 million hits in it's first six months. the site enables keyword searches of more than 100 separate Hawaiian periodicals which were published between 1834 and 1948. Other Hawaiiana texts and literature are slated for addition to the sites vast body of knowledge. Mahalo nui!

Another valuable site for Hawaiian Cultural exploration is the KSBE site - Ka'iwakiloumoku - Hawaiian Cultural Center. The site named in honor of Hawaii's great king, Kamehameha I, offers a wide variety of cultural experiences through rich media, historical photos and documents, an interactive event calendar, recipes, health tips and an online journal.
